Have you heard the expression about pregnancy where the "rabbit dies"? Where did this come from?

    the first answer is not quite right. the test wasn't whether it died or not. that is a myth. The rabbit ALWAYS died.

    they would inject a non-pregnant female rabbit with the woman's urine, wait a few days, kill the rabbit, examine the rabbit's ovaries to see if they showed signs of exposure to pregnancy hormones from the woman.

    the phrase "the rabbit died" sprang from the myth that the rabbit only died if the woman was pregnant.
