Help answer this question below.

Have you noticed that the person behind you in the supermarket queue almost always puts the shopping divider at 90degrees across the convor belt before they load their shopping? Is this a compulsive disorder that most of the poulation has?

    The divider helps the clerk know where one customer's food stops and another's begins. Why wouldn't you use it?

    • Try putting it on at 45 degrees and see what happens.

    • I dig, you mean the 90 degree part is the compulsion, not the divider part. In that case, I'd say people put it at 90 degrees so they'll have more room for food on the belt. Plus, if there's a lot of food on the belt already, there may not be room to put it at an arbitrary angle.
