Is it true that the residents of San Francisco, California, object to having their city called "FRISCO" by non-residents? Why? It's not an offensive nickname at all.

    Yeah, I heard that early from someone who had lived there for awhile.

    • It is my experience that the people who are most excited about such things are converts, in this case those who are not actual 'Frisco natives but are eager to be offended on behalf of their new city.
