Do you think the Virginia tech students acted cowardly ?They didn't try to stop the shooter.

    You have to realize that the people of our society have been domesticated in the same way livestock and pets are domesticated. We no longer have the old fashioned "fight or flight" instincts, but rather, "call 911 and pray" instincts. Interestingly, even if police are supposed to protect us, they usually show up AFTER a crime has happened. Even so, we're supposed to accept that it will make our society safer if all the citizens are disarmed and only government is armed.

    This event will no doubt be used to justify more surveillence cameras everywhere, maybe like in England where they have one surveillence camera for each 14 citizens. Boy... how SAFE is that?!!!?

    Funny thing, though, that since many murders happen in the home, the only logical next step once all public buildings, schools and libraries are fully wired, is to have surveillence cameras in our homes so police can watch our every move and keep us nice and SAFE!!
