Thanks, I agree completely. He has been more or less airbrushed out of history and it is a damned travesty. I think the tide is beginning to turn now thankfully. Still a long way to go though. We have a statue to him in Manchester and if I remember correctly not one major IT firm paid a penny towards it. Disgusting.

Interesting you brought this up. I was arguing with a religious homophobe the other day and mentioned the Turing case as an example of what happens when ancient prejudice isn't purged from a culture. Of course, that didn't even get a response, the train was already locked onto its tracks :)
