Help answer this question below.
The USA very rightly, knows better than to mess with Canada. On the two occasions, during the revolution and the War of 1812, they have been unable to achieve their military ambitions there.
The Queen of Canada is also the Queen of England and Americans would rather try to forget that despite their best efforts, the Monarchy still has influence in north america.
This is why they dismiss Canada, because to think of i in serious terms and as a country rich in resources, is just a testament to their failure to get their grubby hands on it.

I take it that you are an America hating Canadian. I think your answer is somewhat faulty. The US and Canada have been friends and allies for a long long time. Canada has backed the US and the US has backed Canada in many military campaigns for a long time. We have never tried to take over canada through military tactics ever. The closest thing we ever did was buy Alaska for a few pennies per acre. You will find that most Americans like Canada and have no animosity towards it at all. We make jokes sure...but we joke about ourselves as well and you shouldn't take it seriously.

No I am British, you may want to look at The War of 1812 which Canada and her British allies won.
Before invading, the first phase of driving the British out was the conquest of Quebec, Thomas Jefferson dismissed Canada's ability to resist the American invasion by saying that the conquest of Quebec, "will be a mere matter of marching."
Well they failed very badly, Washington got burned and the Queen is still there!

So...your opinion of the US is based on a 200 year old military cmapaign? I'd say that we are doing just fine...we respect Canada and I don't see any reason you guys should think any differently of us.

Um excuse me but wasn't your original point, "We have never tried to take over canada through military tactics ever."
