Help answer this question below.

Is going to the DMV to register a car in your name the same as registering the car? I just bought a car in CA from a private seller and the registration is good until September 2009. Will I have to re-register the car when I put it in my name?

    Yes. Even if the car's registration expired next year you would still need to register the vehicle, that just happened to me.
