Women are not only the fairer sex, they are also less powerful physically by design. It only makes sense to have them play fewer sets or play a shorter hole in golf. This kind of evens out the physical difference. Sometimes stress on equality get carried too far. What would it be like if women were exactly like men? That wouldn't be any fun.
