My father's father was a custom home builder. He built our home from the ground up, actually from the hole up, since we have a full basement. It was the most fun we've had choosing every little thing that went into our home. Selecting sinks, tubs and plumbing fixtures and wall paper/or paneling/or plaster. Selecting the ceiling and where the electrical outlets will be & how many of them. Everything that one doesn't think of that goes into a home. We even moved some walls to accommodate some large pieces of furniture. Now my niece wants the blue prints willed to her when I die. We've feel very fortunate that we know every person, electrician, plumber, mason etc. who build our home. Especially when one hears the horror stories of unknown builders and unsuspecting buyers. We are very blessed. Thanks dad.
