No, the manufacturer of the phones make them specifically for the carrier, and since Verizon uses CDML, they don't need sim cards. if it is a particular model you want, you may check the manufactures website and see if they offer it for another carrier. the only carrier in the US that use sim cards are AT&T and T-mobile. however they may make it for an overseas carrier since all oversea carriers use sim cards.

Do Verizon phones use removeable SIM cards? A salesman told me they do not but I see they have some of the same make and model phones as Cingular which does use removeable SIM cards.
