Verizon's network uses CDMA technology which does not utilize a sim card. However many of Verizon's "World Edition" phones do have sim card slots so that they can be used overseas with their international partners whose networks are GSM based (those with sim cards :-) as there are not a lot of CDMA networks outside of the US so the rates are steep but the sim card slot allows you to pop in a sim card in say China while on business you could still use your same cell phone. Cool huh?
