For all the pro-lifers out there i have a question: If you create a life (fetus) doesn't that give you the right to take it (handgun)?

Why are men allowed to be involved in debates concerning abortion law? Shouldn't the issue be decided by women alone?

But where does the poor baby get the say in it?
by ...trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. on April 18th, 2007
I concur with the honourable lady from America
by steelhamster@aol.com on April 18th, 2007
At the gestational period when a woman usually undergoes an abortion, the "baby" is no more than a mass of different cells and isn't particularly capable of voicing their opinion. Nor would it be wise to let our children (or future children) make decisions about our lives and our health.
by Anonymous on April 18th, 2007
If the "poor" baby fully understood the situation do u think it would want to have lived such a shitty life?
by words o wisdom on April 18th, 2007
That almost makes it sound like your saying death is better than life. I don't think that God would have put a soul in the new formed life if He wanted people to take it. I was nearly aborted when I was in my mother. I'm glad my mother changed her mind. Although my mother was not raped, I hardly ever see my Dad and he has hardly anything to do with my life. (I still love him though.) I love my mother, my dad, stepdad, my brother, and my heavenly Father who saved my soul from hell. I've lived for 16 years so far and I'm glad to be alive and I'm glad to have the priveledge of living for my Lord, God, and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Also, if you do not believe me about abortion being murder, go to this: http://www.jesus-is-savior.com/Evils%20in%20America/Abortion%20is%20Murder/abortion_is_murder.htm. There are various places about abortion on this website. It may not take you straight to the page I am talking about. If not, go to the home page and you'll probably find it somewhere. May God have mercy on us all. Thank you.

16 huh, that expains a lot.... young mind easily moulded. Perhaps in ten years and more wisdom will let you see religion for what it really is.
by steelhamster@aol.com on April 19th, 2007
Religion sends more people to hell than anything. God saved me from religion a long time ago when He gave showed me His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus did for you and for me what man and religion could never do for you and for me.
by ...trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. on April 19th, 2007
Semantics, the only thing that saves you, is you. Leaning on a crutch is for those who relinquish responsibility of their own lives.
by steelhamster@aol.com on April 19th, 2007
How can we save ourselves? God's Son Jesus is the only One who paid the debt that we would spend eternity paying. I do have responsability for the life that God has given me. My responsability is to live for The One who gave it to me. He deserves it. It's His life because He made it. My responsability is to obey Him and to be an example of Christ to others. I am weak but He is strong. His grace is sufficient and His strength is made perfect in weakness.

Youre far too gone in your delusion. There is little hope for you. Perhaps when you are a grown up you will realise this
by steelhamster@aol.com on April 19th, 2007
No. I can't be taken from the hands of Jesus. He said in the Bible that no man shall pluck me out of His hand.
by ...trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. on April 19th, 2007
If its in the bible it must be true huh.... do some research, you may have your eyes opened as to the origin of the bible.
by steelhamster@aol.com on April 19th, 2007
I already have. There is a myth that the Vatican wrote the Bible, but actually the Vatican were the enemies of the Bible. They made altered versions of it for the Roman Catholic religion. These false translations were based on the altered manuscripts made by the Gnostic, Origen, whereas the King James Bible is translated from the right ones; originating all the way back to the Jewish Old Testament and the Greek New Testament. I believe that copies of these were made by the apostles in Antioch and maybe in Patmos as well. God will never let His precious Word be destroyed. We have the infallible Word of God preserved for us to this day.
by ...trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. on April 19th, 2007
Lol, sorry I have tears of laughter now. The Vatican didnt write the bible, it was written by men. The New testament was written at least 200 years after the events, none of it is historically inaccurate and the translations were dubious to say the least. The bible had one purpose, to create a truly patriachal society.
by steelhamster@aol.com on April 19th, 2007
Actually, the New Testament was written in the first century. The writers, inspired by the Author, God, of course, were the apostles of Christ. (Paul, John, Luke, Peter. etc.) They were alive in the first century. The vatican and the Roman Catholic Institution, whom I believe to be the Great Whore predicted in Revelation, did make altered versions of the Bible, but we do indeed have the right version of the holy Scriptures today: the King James Version of the Bible. The only version that the devil hasn't got his filthy hands on. God did use men to write the Bible, but all in all, He is the Divine Author.

Quiz show host: “What is inside of the black box on the table?”
Preacher: “God.”
Quiz show host: “No, I’m sorry that’s incorrect. There’s nothing inside of the box. See?” (Lifts box and there’s nothing inside)
Quiz show host: “Next question. Who is standing behind the curtain?”
Preacher: “God.”
Quiz show host: “No, I’m sorry that’s incorrect. It’s my wife standing behind there. Come on out honey and show yourself” (loud applause)
Quiz show host: “Final question. What is printed all over my under shorts?”
Preacher: “God.”
Quiz show host: “No, I’m sorry that’s incorrect. The correct answer is little pink flowers. I was in a hurry this morning and I grabbed them out of the wrong drawer. Sorry honey.” (looking at wife)
Quiz show host: “Mr. Preacher. You’ve missed every question on tonight’s show. Why is it that you answered every question with God?”
Preacher: “Because all of my life I’ve been taught that when there is something that’s not known, the answer is always God.”
The moral to this story is that if a person doesn’t know the answer to a question, it’s a lot less embarrassing to say “I don’t know” rather than jump to the conclusion that their favorite God has something to do with it.
In the past, gods have been invoked to explain rainfall, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, physical illness, mental illness, eclipses, the outcome of battles and wars, etc…
This attributing god(s) to the mystery of unknowns is known as worshipping the “God of the gaps” (gaps in understanding).
Of course today we know better and look back with some pity and amusement at people jumping to such conclusions. But ironically people are still making the same mistake with today’s unknowns such as the origins of the universe. To many religious people, the answer is automatically the same as it has been for thousands of years: whatever god or gods they happen to believe in were involved.
As a discipline, scientists have learned to courageously leave a question mark where it belongs. It’s a lot less embarrassing that way.

Sir, I'm sad for you. The Bible says that the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness. You probably take the Bible and the gospel of Christ as a joke, but someday you will stand before Jesus Christ of Nazereth, the Creator of the Universe, and if you don't get right with Him now, you will be held accountable for the very words that you just typed down. Steelhamster, American Idle...I'm praying for you both. I just hope that you realize how much Jesus Christ loves you and you someday accept Him as your Lord and Saviour before it's eternally too late. Thank you.

Many early religions were fertility cults, that is worship of gods, goddesses, natural processes, the stars moon and primarily the sun which were revered in order to enure the fertility of the soil, crops, livestock and humans.
Ever wondered why god is male? Yes, I know there are the new agey types out there who carry on like a pork chop how god isn't male or female, but those of us who were or are a member of one of the Abrahamic religions, should be left in no doubt that the monotheistic god of these religions is male. The Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam) are basically patriarchal religions. Anyone who knows a little of their history is aware of this. The word "patriarchy" derives from the word "patriarch".So, there are patriarchs all over the Bible and the Hebrew Scriptures. The same story applies to the Islamic holy book the Quran, though I am not sure if they call their male leaders patriarchs, but the idea is the same. The guys supposedly get to rule, the guys are supposedly chosen by god, (who is inevitably male), to lead their people, the guys supposedly get the conversations with the male god which are then written into holy scriptures and women get to obey those words if they behave well enough so that they are not raped, sold into slavery or stoned to death. That's pretty well the gist of it

I may as well fear Odin as Jesus
by steelhamster@aol.com on April 20th, 2007
The Bible teaches us that the husband is indeed the head of the household, but husbands are also to love their wives as Christ loved the Church and gave Himself for it. Also, I believe in the God of the Bible, the God of Israel, but I do not agree with what you were saying about the religions being the same. Allah, the god of the Muslims, is not the God of the Bible; the God that I believe in, because he is very different in nature and personality, and he is not called a "father" nor does he have a son. JEHOVAH, the God of the Bible, has a Son. In fact, He is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

Be careful of your use of the word FACT... you just open yourself up for more ridicule
by steelhamster@aol.com on April 20th, 2007
1000s of years from now, they will look on people like you with curiousity and scorn for your pointless belief system
by steelhamster@aol.com on April 20th, 2007
Sir, thousands of years from now many people like that will be weeping and gnashing their teeth in the lake of fire seperated from God. I probably will be ridiculed for such beliefs, but my God is worth suffering for. The Bible says that Christ's followers would be persecuted. The good thing is, our reward in heaven is worth it. Having a crown to cast at the Saviour's feet and worship Him for eternity.

You are surely in for a big disappointment... and you will have wasted your life in pursuit of a pipe dream
by steelhamster@aol.com on April 20th, 2007
Sir, many religious and non-religious people will be in for a disappointment when the Lord Jesus turns them away and they are cast into the lake of fire forever. With Christ, I've had no disappointments, at least not when I was doing what He wanted me to do. I believe Jesus Christ, and He said that He is preparing for me a manision in heaven. Those who reject Christ are wasting their lives, sir.
by ...trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. on April 20th, 2007
Then we shall see.... in the meantime, Im going to live my life in the here and now, and try to alleviate the suffering we already have on our planet.

i concur with the metal hamster.
by words o wisdom on April 24th, 2007
SO if you belive so strongly in religion grace, would you say that other religions are misleading or wrong because other people do not live their lives for jesus christ? I am agnostic but at times feel that a curious side of me leans towards the christian religion however i am also a fan beliver in the buddhist religion... it is beautiful. But I just think you are loopy. The hamster is right. wake up your sixteen get out and live your life you only get one.... Smoke some weed talk to ladies... you can still be christian or whatever the hell you think you are. trust me you will thank me for it.
by words o wisdom on April 24th, 2007
My Master wouldn't be pleased in that though. I love Him and want to please Him. I believe that religions are what send many people to hell. Jesus is the only One who died for me, not Buddah, Muhammed, Confusious, Mary, the Pope, or Moses. Only Jesus died for me and rose from the dead. I only get one life, and that means that I only get one shot at honouring my Saviour and pointing people to Jesus and that's it. If I waste my life on the world and its pleasures, I will stand before Christ ashamed of myself. I know I'll be put down by people for this, but the Bible says that the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness. Christ is worth it.
by ...trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. on April 24th, 2007
If I ever did fancy being a Christian, the thought of living in eternity with people like you Grace, is enough to put me off it forever. At least in Hell, its populated by all the interesting people.
by steelhamster@aol.com on April 24th, 2007
Hell may be filled with once interesting people, sir, but I don't believe that you will see them or make contact with them. Jesus described this place as being "outer darkness." Jude 13 talks about the wicked being as "wandering stars to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever." I believe that Hell is a place of darkness. It makes since because in hell you are seperated from God. The Bible teaches that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. I believe that in the lake of fire, everybody will be a nobody. Everyone in there will be a loser. Whatever name you may have had here and the friends you may have, you won't have any of that there. It will be a place of hopelessness forever.
by ...trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. on April 24th, 2007
Think I would still prefer to toast on the pits of hell... gotta be less painful than spending eternity with a bunch of sanctimonious automans.
by steelhamster@aol.com on April 24th, 2007
I doubt it, sir. In heaven there won't be any pain. Besides, in heaven nobody will be getting on eachother's nerves because we will all be happy to see the Lord Jesus and live in His presence forever.

Men should NOT be able to do what they please with HER body. Survivors of rape should absolutely have the right to abort the life of the person who raped them, but no one has the right to take innocent life. She deserves help and compensation for having a child against her will, not abandonment and pressure to commit murder.
