Is it or isn't it? Gratifying to tell someone you are broke, and you really
are?

Hmmm...I had to look up abseiling (rappelling, for us yanks). I hope your friend is doing well.

I wish I could say yes, and I suppose the fact that she's still with us is a gift but she is fighting a losing battle with cancer on the lining of the brain now. I love her to bits. I've just lost my darling father in law with prostate cancer too so cancer research is important to me. I didn't know abseiling went by another name. You learn something new every day here.

So sorry to hear about your friend and father-in-law. My father had prostate cancer, but is doing very well after treatment, fortunately. I didn't realize how many people I knew had cancer or knew someone close to them who had it. Hopefully research will progress faster in the future.

Oh yes, let's hope. Prostate cancer is one of those cancers that people can live with rather than die from. Dad had it for five years and was mostly fighting fit. I hope your dad stays well :)
