Help answer this question below.

My cockatiels are laying eggs, they are fertile but are not hatching can anyone ell me why this might be happening this is the second clutch that this has happened with?

    Did you break them open to see what had happened? Is there any germination or growth? Did the chick die in the egg. You haven't given enough information. It cold be a fertility problem, a weather or chilling problem, too high or too low humidity.

    A smaller box would be better, I prefer 9x9 or 10x10 and 11-12 inches tall. And I only use wood shavings in the bottom and make a small hollow, like a dip, 3-4 inches in diameter for the eggs to get cupped in. That keeps the eggs from rolling around. Or you could use white paper toweling and form a cup in it as it's very absorbent and no dust like from shavings.

    Did you have a bowl of water for the hen to bathe in? She needs to keep the humidity level of the eggs up or they will not hatch out.
