Up front, I'd like to admit that I am a good candidate for Pompous Intellectuals Anonymous.

I like to blather on about science, nature, computers, psychology, or anything else that tickles my geekish fancy. I get the hint if people aren't delighted to be talking with me about those sort of things. I would feel like I was insulting them if I dumbed it down while talking to them, though.

I am interested in many topics. I enjoy thinking about them and pontificating about my conclusions and the input other people might have. I don't feel like I'm trying to impress others but it's possible that I'm a nerd in desperate need of intellectual validation because my daddy didn't love me enough.

    • I forgot I asked this question. You don't srike me as pompous, at least not compared to the buffoon I had in mind when I asked. Funny.

    • Some people use knowledge as a stick to beat others with and I don't agree with that. I guess it's all about how you use it.
