My husband's car was stolen and recovered within 24 hours. Steering column and ignition busted. Car only worth $500.00. We don't want the vehicle. Why do we have to pay towing fees, storage fees, admin fees just to give them the title? Anything we can do?

Reguardless of codes and those only apply to business's you do not have to pay them for they did not ask permission to do all the above. If that was true for above statement I can come to your property and tow then store your vehichle and charge you a motor vehichle is considered private property and is treated as such under law if they keep playing stupid ignore them and if they try to debt collect you take it to small claims court and push it as far as you can its funny that you are victim of a crime and get charged for it.

    • but if it was done while stolen then he can sue the court for repreations and get that money back for the person behind the wheel is responsible and not the person who owns the vehichle.
