ok, this is confusing to me as well, but from what i understand, it goes something like this:
in biblical times, jezebel was the wife of an Israeli king, and she convinced him to stop believing in god. then she had a whole bunch of pagan followers who went on some sort of crusade to get other people to believe in this other god, called baal, and anyone who didn't agree with her, she killed.
then the prophet elijah started killing all of the pagans who believed in baal, and jezebel vowed to kill elijah. lots of drama happened and eventually elijah prophesied that jezebel would die... jezebel's husbad repented and was spared but jezebel died, just like elijah said she would.
so, really a jezebel can be described as someone who goes against what is commonly accepted and causes all sorts of problems for people who are minding their own business. i guess the modern day definition of a jezebel comes from the fact that people consider loose women to be women who are disruptive and don't follow rules.
