Eric, it should be noted here that the "Catholicized" as you call it New American Bible (NAB) is used by 1.2 billion Catholics that would disagree with you. so know that you are in the minority of people with that opinion. FYI, all bibles no matter what language are going to have differences no one particular bible will be "biased". They are all sightly different. Many have not been updated for Years. The NAB and the NIV both have 2011 versions. The only significant bible that gets a lot of use I would be wary of is the King James because it was written 400 years ago by englishmen who did not have access to very complete Greek and Hebrew translation. Also, since that time 1000's of documents have been discovered that should be considered when translating the bible from it's original languages.
