Help answer this question below.

Why wont a standard tranny shift into gear on a 97 gmc 4.3l v6. It starts but just grinds. The clutch pedel has no resistance

    Check the fluid first, clutch cylinder should be right along side of the master cylinder.
    Have you tried starting it in gear? If it bolts forward, then the throw out bearing is history. Throw-out bearing gone, replace the clutch.
