The light is saying there's a problem with a system that could jeopardize your ability to avoid an accident. Turning off this light will accomplish nothing. To fix the light, fix the bloody problem. It will detect the fix and turn off. They make lights to tell people things, and people just turn the lights off? Why don't you turn off your brake lights in the process....

    • Thanks for defending ABS. I work with a great bunch of engineers who work many hours to make these system work. As we speak the entire GM Chassis controls group is getting ready to spent the next 3 month away from home in northern Michigan developing and validating the 2008 2009 2010 model year systems.

    • But sometimes the problem isn't in the system itself, it's in the sensor that monitors the system. In fact, 90% of the time it seems to be the sensor itself that is bad. So when I (and others) say, "How do I get the light off?", most of the time we are asking which sensor is bad and need replacing.
