Help answer this question below.

Science and religion - why can't everyone just agree to disagree? Surely it must say in the Bible or other religious scriptures how to deal with others of different views and I don't thing arguing where an agreement will never be reached is part of it.

    The bible has, in many verse, told us that the way to deal with other people with different views is to stone/kill them.

    Oh now watch all of the Christians crawl out of the woodwork to down rate my answer. So for those who read and have understanding, I include a few scriptures to support my claim.

    Deuteronomy 17
    17:2 If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the LORD thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the LORD thy God, in transgressing his covenant; 17:3 And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded; 17:4 And it be told thee, and thou hast heard of it, and enquired diligently, and, behold, it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Israel; 17:5 Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed that wicked thing, unto thy gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt stone them with stones, till they die.

    "Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the LORD your God must be put to death. Such evil must be purged from Israel." (Deuteronomy 17:12 NLT)

    "You should not let a sorceress(witch) live." (Exodus 22:17 NAB)

    "If a man lies with a male as with a women, both of them shall be put to death for their abominable deed; they have forfeited their lives." (Leviticus 20:13 NAB)

    "A man or a woman who acts as a medium or fortuneteller shall be put to death by stoning; they have no one but themselves to blame for their death." (Leviticus 20:27 NAB)

    If a man commits adultery with another man's wife, both the man and the woman must be put to death. (Leviticus 20:10 NLT)

    A priest's daughter who loses her honor by committing fornication and thereby dishonors her father also, shall be burned to death. (Leviticus 21:9 NAB)

    Whoever sacrifices to any god, except the Lord alone, shall be doomed. (Exodus 22:19 NAB)

    They entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul; and everyone who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, was to be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman. (2 Chronicles 15:12-13 NAB)

    Suppose you hear in one of the towns the LORD your God is giving you that some worthless rabble among you have led their fellow citizens astray by encouraging them to worship foreign gods. In such cases, you must examine the facts carefully. If you find it is true and can prove that such a detestable act has occurred among you, you must attack that town and completely destroy all its inhabitants, as well as all the livestock. (Deuteronomy 13:13-19 NLT)

    If your own full brother, or your son or daughter, or your beloved wife, or you intimate friend, entices you secretly to serve other gods, whom you and your fathers have not known, gods of any other nations, near at hand or far away, from one end of the earth to the other: do not yield to him or listen to him, nor look with pity upon him, to spare or shield him, but kill him. (Deuteronomy 13:7-12 NAB)

    Make ready to slaughter his sons for the guilt of their fathers; Lest they rise and posses the earth, and fill the breadth of the world with tyrants. (Isaiah 14:21 NAB)

    Cursed be he who does the Lords work remissly, cursed he who holds back his sword from blood. (Jeremiah 48:10 NAB)

    Yes I know technically homosexuals are not all scientists, however science has made a strong case that homosexuality is 'normal' and natural to the human condition.

    Yes i know that science does not bow to to idols (scientist just plain don't believe in 'gods'. But Modern Christians have successfully made it a point of contention that the worship of science (over the study there of) is what is really taking place. In short the argument is that Science has displaced God. And is, therefore, a false religion.

    Yeah watch, some brave soul will say 'but you are interpreting the bible wrong' No interpretation is needed with these verses, the verses make it very clear what 'God fearing' bible reading folk must do to please God.

    Yes the "tone" from mass murder of non-believers by Christians themselves tends to drop significantly, however the same hatred and intolerance of those who believe otherwise is still there. Instead of "good Christians' taking up stones, God outlines his personal plan to wipe out people willy nilly.

    When you consider that "Christians can judge everything and everybody, but no non-Christian can judge them." 1 Corinthians 2:15

    and ONLY the Saints (Christians in 'magickal' form) can judge you ( a non believer) and everything you say/think or believe "Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world?" 1 Corinthians6:2

    It becomes self evident that Christians are taught some one sided arguments that preclude allowing others to exist (in peace or alive for that matter in many instances) and abolishes the ability for the Christian to enter into rational conversation about such matters as evolution, stem cell research and science.

    When we look back at the past 2000 years of history we find plenty of men who were more than willing (and dare I say very able) to use the bible to commit atrocities against minorities with impunity. Everything from the near modern keeping of slaves (justified by many via the bible) to the ongoing hatred of the Jew is justified by the Bible.

    In this light and with the real facts I assure you that you are a non-Christian, cursed with a clarity of thought and tolerance that you will find no equal to with 'hard core' Christian bible thumpers.
