If I consider that your definition of beautiful is typical, 5'9 blonde/blue with pouty lips, a full bust and miniscule waist line, I would say that it is because they've worked so hard to fit your version of "perfect" that they will not settle for their version of "less than perfect". For the rest of us "ugly girls" we have plenty of sense to take into account people's inner beauty rather than just their outer.
