Help answer this question below.

I know someone who put some vodka in their baby's bottle when the baby wouldn't stop crying. Is this considered abuse? It was so the person could get some rest and de-stress I think.

    It is definitely considered a form of child abuse...

    We can all see what effect alcohol has on adults, god knows what it does to an infant both physiologically and psychologically.

    I know that in Ireland years ago, it was common practice to give babies a spoon of brandy if they couldn't sleep due to teething or sleeping problems.

    It is most certainly frowned upon now though.
