I don't wear one BECAUSE it's against the law. I know I am more at risk, but it's the principle of it. If I want to endanger my own life, I will and I don't need someone to tell me otherwise. It's not like I'm driving drunk and endangering someone else's life.

    • One of the arguments for using safety belts is if you are seriously injured in an accident. The first person on the scene will call for paramedics who will risk their lives getting to you. Their lives are at risk if they make a mistake and crash or if someone else makes the mistake and hits the emergency vehicle.

    • Paramedics made the decision when they took that profession that they will have to risk their own lives sometimes. No one is forcing them to be 'heros'.

    • Well said, let all adults make this choice for themselves.
