How did Jesus pay for people's sins? Did he use a credit card, a check, or did he pull out his Holy Wallet?

My soul mate and I were reunited on Good Friday; after almost 5 years being kept apart. Do you consider it to be a miracle? Why/why not?

You're reading How can you Christians say that Jesus is the only way to heaven? Are you saying that if a person does not believe in Jesus Christ, they are going to hell?
Comments
That sounds kinda fucked up, that a perfectly good person, who helped people and never hurt anyone would suffer for eternity just because he wasn't raised by christians or into christianity.

Just like "light the way" stated, no one is good all the time. You must follow god's rules and report to him, and ask forgiveness for your sins. Sorry but even Buddah doesn't guarantee eternal life.

I see by your language that you are not talking about yourself.

"In a number of Mahayana sutras, the Buddha teaches that the Buddha is no longer essentially a human being but has become a being of a different order altogether and that, in his ultimate transcendental "body/mind" mode as Dharmakaya, he has eternal and infinite life...":

Ok mike777.. guess I should have said eternal afterlife... buddah is in the reincarnation thing.. am I wrong?
by littleknown on March 25th, 2007
Not really sure if this sector of Buddha teaching is refering to reincarnation, doesn't sound like in this description, but could be.

littleknown: Nope I wasn't talking about myself, it was a hypothetical question.

Only those who receive Christ into their heart and are washed in His blood will go to heaven.
by ...trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. on April 7th, 2007
That sounds creepy, ... Christians are so weird...
by Romiex69x on April 7th, 2007
If we are weird then what are you considered. What can possibly be so weird about wanting to save yourself and those you love.
by Believer9 on July 3rd, 2008
Nothing weird about trying to save yourself and the ones close to you. What is weird is that you think you can accomplish that by believing in some fairytale stories, and by asking for favores to some imaginary supernatural being. Or even thinking that they need to be saved.
by Romiex69x on July 3rd, 2008
And you KNOW it's a fairy tale because...? remember what happens when you assume.
by LarryH54 on July 3rd, 2008
And you KNOW this particular story is real and the other ones are not because...? remember what happens when YOU assume.
And I know it's fair tale because I use my logic and inteligence to come to that conclusion, just like I know there are no elfs, unicorns, ogers etc... How do you know? Let me guess, you just "feel" it, or God has "spoken" to you or something along those lines...
by Romiex69x on July 4th, 2008
Am I supposed to ignore the personal experiences in my life? I don't think so. That's how we grow and learn. If you claimed to have met George Bush, would I have the right to say you didn't?
by LarryH54 on July 4th, 2008
First of all Bush is a real person, and what are the specific experiences? And where did you meet God? What did he say to you? What did he look like?
by Romiex69x on July 5th, 2008
If you actually took the time to read the bible and UNDERSTAND what it says then youd realize how everything thats prophesised somehow is all happening in the order it written in the bible ... hmmmmm Coincidence?? I think not....
by Believer9 on July 11th, 2008
Well tell me what are you specifically reffering to, and what's happening next then? You wouldn't happen to have the lottery numbers in there somewhere would you?

Many prophets from the Old Testament foretold the coming of Jesus: The Messiah and what would happen to Him and ALL of the prophecies came true one by one. (not some, but all).
Daniel foretold about the coming of the new empires on earth hundreds and thousands of years before these existed.(The statue) From the Persian to the Greek, Roman and all the shattered kingdoms and governments today. Also John in Revelations foretold about the different powers and kingdoms in the last days. (The dragon with 7 heads and 10 horns).
In Matthew 24 Jesus has foretold of many things, like coming wars, pests, famines. So did John in Revelation 6.
There are still prophecies to be fulfilled, like the coming of Jesus, the Antichrist and 7 years of tribulation and after that 1,000 years of peace. ( just to name a few)
