Why don't some people believe that the original moon landing ever happened?

    There are many reasons, like the only real evidence being that "I saw it on TV".

    It would, and would still be, far easier and cheaper to fake it than to make it.

    It was the height of the cold war and the US couldn't afford politically, to lose the moon race as the Soviets had won the race for the first man in space.

    If we could do it almost 40 years ago, why haven't we went back yet?

    I personally have seen all the documentaries about it and am still totally undecided. For greater in depth information, check this out:

    Thanks for the feed back guys. I think we should question history, as it is only a VERSION of history preached to us by the people who have the most to gain from that particular version. That has always been true, no matter what the time or place. So if it doesn't sound or feel right, there's probably something fishy about it. That's not to say the moon landings were faked, just that we should question the writers of history to prove their version happened. Incidentally, there IS a big voice from the old USSR that never believed the moon landings, it just doesn't translate very well to the average BBC or CNN audience.

    • This line of thinking would lead you to question all of history. We have'nt gone back because there is no reason to and would'nt the nation the U.S beat have a vested interest in proving that the moon landing was a hoax? Where is their voice? The only sound we hear is from that of the kooks.

    • OH NO! We can't be questioning all of history! We must accept what the paid academic historians tell us! (They do always all tell us the same thing, right? I mean, there's only one history, so there can't be two sides to the story, and whatever version becomes the most popular MUST be correct, right?)

    • Actually there is other evidence of the moon landing: they left a three-corner mirror which has subsequently been used by other people to bounce laser beams off of, to measure the Earth-moon distance, and how it changes over time.

    • yeah theres no reason to go back we had the technology right then so we said "what the hell....lets go to the moon"and you could ask some of the Apollo 17 astronauts if you knew them, they are still alive....hopefully! but i beileve
