You're reading 306 million people in the US. If you gave each one a million dollars wouldn't that be a heck of a lot more stimulus than giving 800 billion to corporations? 306 million dollars is a fraction of 800 B and we'd all be millionaires! That's Stimulus Man!

your math is as bad as his... that money divided among the popuace would be more like 2600 each, and for the poor (which includes most laborers) that is significant.

significant at what? I'm poor that crap would only last what 6 months at the most? I mean that would only be a temporary solution. The reason the country and even my situation (which i'm working hard to fix) is due to quick fixes. No more quick fixes. Give me a detailed plan that creates jobs or give me nothing.

no, the reason the country is in the situation is because of a trade defficit between the labor market and the market for goods and services. executives are raping their customers and employees. just as an international trade deficit is bad for the economy, pooling too much wealth at the top leaves the customer base too poor to keep feeding the corporations.

And quick fixes do what? NOTHING. Dude I don't care if it's politics, economics, sports or my dumb ass trying to quit fix shit back in high school. Quick fixes DO NOTHING! Let's give everyone 2600 which most people will just blow at the local Target (BIG BUSINESS) or maybe buy that new big screen TV at walmart (BIG BUSINESS) or maybe they'll buy food at the local Kroger (BIG BUSINESS). Giving poor people free money will just go back to BIG BUSINESS! Can we get some job creation or better yet some more entrepreneur opportunities and training! Of course not let's give the poor people free money to turn around and make the rich richer which gives the brief illusion of progress until the money runs out and not only does the rich get your money but then they run on TV and bitch about how you blew your free money in a month and how you don't deserve anything but poverty for being an impulsive fool! Yes sign me up for this program I need a big screen TV and lions tickets anyway. (sarcasm)

giving the masses a check is not a fix, it is a dose... if you are dehydrating in hte desert a single cup of water is not going to fix your situation but it will give you 1 more cup of water to hydrate you durring the mean time.
give everyone 2600 and they may pay some bills, or they may buy that pleasantry, but either way, their lives are 2600 less unpleasant. yes they are still in the desert but they have one more cup of water in their bloodstream. yes the big bussinesses still got the money but it spent 1 cycle more at the grunt level rather than going straight into the executive pocket without touching the masses. if your distain of the poors moneyhandling skill is based on the lotto winners going broke... all lotto winners have one thing in common, they are stupid enough with money to buy lotto tickets, they do not represent the average poor, only the stupid lucky poor.
10% of the homeless in DC are full time employed... the fact that that is even remotely possible is an afront to liberty and proves we are in a state of economic slavery... yes the goal is to end that situation, it is better to give the masses a cup of water than it is to pour that water straight into the coffers of the slavers. the evil lazy welfare recipient you hate all for is such a small minority, most are trying all they can working what ever jobs they can. think of this the next time you go to a grocery store... safeway employees are lucky to get 20 hours in a week and after union dues (which they have to pay to keep their ungainful employment) they earn less than minimum wage. those who try improve their financial standing they have to watch out that they do not earn too much or they get the rug yanked out from under them and end up poorer because they earned more money.

I don't want one more cup in the desert dam it I want out the desert! That's the problem with quick fixes it's the one more chance theory the false hope notion. Give me some real hope man. Give me 800billion going to some real causes that will last 10-20 years! That use to be my thinking well this quick little low end job will help me sustain then guess what ten years later what was the little drinking water in the desert was a mindset! I don't believe in mortgaging the future to relieve the stresses of today because all you'll do is once again be having this same argument with me in 2031. I'll be honest I don't have any long term solution I just really HATE QUICK FIXES! They are false hope nothing more nothing less!

until I get out of the desert I'll take all the water I can get.
the problem with our system is it tries to be overly involved... too many rules. my solution will allow 99% of welfare administration costs to be eliminated, ensure people are capable of sustaining, people need not fear making too much progress that they end up worse off than they are, and eliminate many employment laws like minimum wage because employers would have to entice people to work for them... a 10% economic stability tax on all incomes with NO deductions (not for children, home purchases, nothing) and that 10% is evenly distributed. whether you earn 0 or 10 trillion dollars you keep your share of the 10%. but knowing our government they could not in a billion years impliment this because it does not leave room for deductions for their special interests.
