South American countries in general: their banks and investor classes weren't significantly invested in the G8 markets, banks, or government securities; they aren't particularly dependent on exports to North America, Europe & Asia; AND they have a strong agricultural base, excellent mineral resources, a growing population in the productive age ranges (18-49), and increasing consumer demand/buying power.
