What exactly does "get a life" mean? Do you find that a bit arrogant?

    I tried to get a life, but no-one seems to want me to have one. Oh well, I guess...

    • My ex tells me to "get a life" whenever he doesn't get his way in our conversations.....I usually reply "I have a great life so don't worry about me" and he hates it! usually when people feel the need to tell you to get a life it means that deep down they don't feel they have a life and are insecure within their own life.
