Is it wise to pop the question on your first date? I have a friend that did just that.

The first date is way too soon. How much could someone possibly know about that person? Even if said person was friends with them for awhile before they went on a date things can change when in a relationship. People should give things time. If my guy popped the question on our first date I would have felt like he was desperate and just wanted to say he had a wife to show off.
