    Costed IS a word. However, it's not correct in the sentence you used.

    It is only correct when you are using it as an intransitive verb to mean financial feasibility. For example, it would be correct to say: The financial planner costed the family's expenses.

    It would NOT be correct to say: The services of the financial planner costed $250. In that case, you would just use 'cost.'
