Only your imagination, really. While, as another answer noted, most sites discourage you from having more than one account, there are quite a few sites available. The Free Email Providers Guide (fepg.net), for example, lists several thousand:

There used to be some services which assigned you a subdomain (e.g. you.domain.com) and then forwarded you any email sent to any address there (e.g. name@you.domain.com, othername@you.domain.com, etc.). In that case, you would actually get infinite email addresses from signing up for the one service. To the best of my knowledge, you can only get this nowadays by setting up your own mailserver (which is an explanation for another answer).
