Is there an active 'Mormon Mafia' functioning here on Answerbag? (The existence of the 'Mormon Mafia' has been substiantiated in a US Court see coments after Glenns answer for further information http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/4459/9463 )

    I was a member of Answerbag before anyone else who answered this question, besides Glenn Blaylock, and I can honestly and unequivocally tell you, no, there is no Mormon Mafia on Answerbag.

    I am not pro-Mormon and I'm not anti-Mormon, so you can't accuse me of answering to suit anyone or anything but the truth. There is no "mafia" of ANY kind on Answerbag.

    I'm tempted to say there's a small group of silly adults who are trying to start something, but I'll leave that alone, for now.

    I will say this - if you attack these guys - or anyone else - based on their religion and/or church affiliation, you will look ridiculous to get all indignant when they respond defensively. Who doesn't get defensive when he's attacked? This kind of thing has happened several times in the past couple of years and it's real, real, old.

    Just drop it. Freedom of religion and all that. For the sake of your own reputations and peace on Answerbag, good will toward Answerbaggers, please let it go.

    Here's a little history about a war on Answerbag. Just like most wars, it got ugly, messy, and more complicated than anyone could have imagined. By the way, and just so you know, I really don't care if you rate this or not. I'm doing it because I'm too lazy to get into all this again. Anyone who knows me will tell you that's in keeping with my general mind-set <grin>

    • Thank you for your answer. Believe it or not, I do get very tired of these wars too. I respect the rights of others to believe as they wish and I just wish that others would just extend that same respect to me. However, as you noted, when someone does attack my religion, I do defend it. I don't apologize for this at all.
