The only HTML code that I know works is "ampersand nbsp semi-colon" which leaves a blank line, if it's the only thing on it. It also can be used to force a blank space between characters.

I've not tried too many other escape sequences, but I also know that ALT codes work in many cases: List of ALT Codes - http://www.tedmontgomery.com/tutorial/ALTchrc.html

Some HTML code CAN be used for your profile, though: See http://www.orangefrogproductions.com/ofp2m_faq_ab_profile.shtml

Oh... The answer to which you referred was created and entered by the AB staff. Remember, they OWN the site, so can do anything they wish to it. ;-)

This question has both bold and italicized text in the "Asker's Pick" answer. I guess it is possible, but it's weird that no one knows how to do it.

    • That is now default formatting applied by the AB back end to the question.
