How do I stop myself hitting golf shots "from out to in"?

    If I understand your question correctly, it is that your swing is making the ball veer "out" to the right... that is called a "slice". Option A: If the ball is making good contact, then close your club face (where the ball makes contact with the club) slightly by rotating the club counter-clockwise just a little without changing your overall swing. If the ball veers too far to the left, that is called a "hook". Practice a few times at the driving range by opening and closing your club face. Eventually, you'll find just the right rotation for the club. Option B: Change your stance position a hair. Perhaps you're putting too much of your back to the fairway-- if that's the case, stand with your hip pointing in the direction you want the ball to go.
