"We no longer blanket the world with unquestionably-divine, spiritual, political, and economic machinations, and the pope is no longer the most feared man in the world, and we are no longer the 'default truth' in schools, because people are actually allowed to stand up against us now...We are SoOoO persecuted against"

Well, Christ did say that He would reward those who suffer in His name. Unfortunately, this makes many go out and seek after trouble. I don't think that is what Christ had in mind.
