Why don't long comments post in full? I had to split one very long comment into two because it only posted half of it.

Do you ever find while you're posting a comment somebody else butts in with one and then you have to change yours to make more sense?

Why do comments disappear off answers, then when I add a new one they all come back on again as if by magic? How does that work?
