A war between the allies of Russia, France, Great Britian , Italy, United States, Japan, Romania, Serbia, Belgium, Greece, Portugal, Montenegro, and the central powers of Germany, Austria-Hungary, Ottoman Empire, and Bulgaria, from 1914 to 1918. Also known as the Great War and the war to end all wars.
