The Bible has been changed many times by additions or deletions made by kings or emperor to coinside with their political desires one who made the most was Emperor Constintine of Rome. The NIV has altered many of the verses of the Bible and even had deleted whole chapters. Scribes who wrote the Bible out by hand often changed words to suit their ideas.

The Bible as it is today has been greatly altered over the last couple of thousand years; either accidently or on purpose.

    • You're and idiot too. Name one single change ordered or brought about by any ruler and your evidence for it.

    • No, my friend you are the idiot if you want to be calling names...tell you what...I challengen you to get a copy of "New Age Bible Versions" by Gail Riplinger ISBN 0-9635845-0-2 I believe you will learn everything I have said is true and if that is not enough then I can give you a few more places to check...The closest we have to the original, and I forgot to say so, is the Cambridge edition of the King James Version, but some things have been changed there as well.

    • ROFLMFAO! You really ARE an idiot! Gail Riplinger? A Fight'n Fundie "King James Only" crackpot without any training in Greek, Hebrew, Old Testament Theology or Criticism, New Testament Theology or Criticisn, Systematic Theology, History of Doctrine, History of Christianity, or any credential even remotely relevent to the subject, but who is rather an MFA (Master of Fine Arts) from Kent State where she adjuncted as a guest prof of Home Economics? That's some expert source, you've got there.
      .
And the thing is, Riplinger's book isn't even relevant to the question. We're not talking about corrupt modern translations. We're talking about the authentic Biblical texts in the original languages. Riplinger doesn't impugn the authenticity or fidelity of the Textus Receptus, just the modern English translations of it. So you're whole assertion is off point.

    • And you still haven't named a single change in the Textus Receptus ordered or brought about by and ruler, let alone any evidence to support the claim.

    • You have your opinions and I can see regardless of what I say you will have some smart ass remark to say about it so lets just drop it here and you can think what you want and I will know what I want.

    • In other words, you have absolutely no evidence for your outrageous claims. Thank you for conceding my point. Now, if we could just get you to do a little actual research into it, you might actually come to realize that there is not only no evidence in your favor, but a mountain against you.

    • Where's your evidence Razz? How 'bout you? Why do you belittle everybody. Calling us idiots etc... But you never give us real answers. You are just mean and degrading. That is not helpful or enlightening us in any way shape or form. You are just blowing hot air but there is no form or reason to it.

    • Razzle...I conceed nothing....especially to you...I have my evidence but it is not on the computer to varify what I have said. One source is from Coral Ridge Ministries of Coral Ridge, FL But I am sure you would not believe them either.

Thank you Wind Walker...Believe me I wish I had all the evidence and what I have given as you can see Razz does not believe and only laughs at it...I am sure he has never read the book I recommended and goes only what he has heard...although hard to read I have read New Age Bible Viesions...There is tons of research behind the book.

    • You're the folks claiming there have been deliberate changes orderd by government authorities. Well, produce them! You have yet to name a single one of them. So, before you waist anymore of my or anyone else's time, please list by book, chapter and verse, what it was changed from, what it was changed to, and the name of the king, queen, emperor, or magistrate who ordered it, your evidence for it, and how said ruler benefited from the change.
