Jews are semites like Arabs. Euopeans didn't really convert and mix with Jews like today so he did most likely look Arabic like other semites, but semites can be light medium or dark, Arabs and north and East Africans mixed all the time and you can't tell a lot apart so he could have looked native Eyptian or Ethiopian or something dark.
