Question

My boyfriend always tries to find excuses to let his dog (Staffy) sleep in his room when I am over. He knows I hate it and still does it! She makes the house a complete mess! How do I let him know that his dog is a DOG, not a human being?

I hate when people say that, "a dog is a dog" no kidding. I think people know that their dog is a dog. so because the dog is a dog should the dog sleep outside in the cold. should the dog not be with his owner who loves him and shows him affection. And i agree with elfie that dogs are considered members of the family. I can understand if the dog slept right between you two then ask your bf to place the dog in a doggy bed on the bedroom floor so he wont feel cast aside. dogs have feelings and they will let you know when they are hurt or upset.

    • i understand that dogs have feelings, i wasn't born yesterday. i have nothing against the dog, just sleeping with it is the problem, its not really an inside dog and is always dirty!

    • The FIRST time a boyfriend told ME he didn't like my DOG, or want it around, I'd start worrying about the type of BOYFRIEND I had! And VICE VERSA! I agree with you, Evelina! The DOG is a FAMILY member with feelings! +6

    • Alluneedtoknow didn't say she didn't like the dog or want it around. She simply doesnt want to sleep with it. I don't think she's asking for much..............

    • Sorry but if I had a significant other who was uneasy about a pet, I'd make concessions. I will say though that if major concessions would have to be made like an indoor dog now needs to be an outdoor dog..........I would have a problem.
