Thanks for the comment. Good info. I almost married a man who was Jehovah witness.I recently converted to Islam and wanted to know more about Jehovah Witnesses. Phew, close one.

All religions have their good side and their bad side. Because of the JH's beliefs in not allowing blood transfusion we have had a lot of advancement in bloodless operations. Many religions take bible as doctrine including Islam. (The late Medinan Surahs, for example are interpreted differently by many different people, unfortunately.)

I wasn't criticizing them. I know all religions have something negative. I was saying Phew because I was lucky I didn't marry the guy. He was a fanatic and everything I did was wrong. Muslims don't celebrate holidays either. I am trying to learn about all religions because when i was a christian I had a tendency to listen to what my church said and judge everything that was different as wrong.

Different doesn't mean right or wrong, it's just different. There are fanatics in every religion as well.

Once again I am not criticizing the religion but the man I almost married. There is everything of everyone in every religion. He kept pushing me to become jehovah's witness which I don't agree anyone can force religion on someone let alone their fiancee. That's why I called him a fanatic.

about the nationalistic thing: do they vote?
by king of ellipses on November 9th, 2008
No. Jehovah's Witnesses do not vote in political elections, in any country.
