You're reading I have a2003 dodge durango and the number 7 spark plug fouls out about every month and a half the the engine starts to run really rough but when i replace that spark plug the car runs like brand new, what would cause this one plug to continue
Comments
If the intake had an air leak, it would lean it out, but not "Foul" it. If it is covered with "Oil" it could be bad "Valve Stem Seals" allowing oil past them fouling the plug. Add to that "Leaky Valve Seats" & U get an incomplete burn which fouls the plug. So, check the compression & do a "Leak Down" test on All Cylinders. If it's just the "Seals" it's not too big a job with a compressor, spark plug air chuck & valve spring compressor. John
