The logic here is exceptionally flawed. Yes, smoking is an addiction. Everyone would recognize that. I have the problem originally stated and I have no concern for second hand smoke. First hand smoking's effects are not overrated, and is why most of us care about their loved ones quitting. Believe it or not, its seriously painful to see someone you love willfully destroying their body on a daily basis. Additionally, why does it matter that smoking is legal? Smoking tobacco is far more harmful to the health of the user than a lot of illegal substances. Just because it is more socially acceptable does not make it a better habit. I am also disgusted that you compare smoking to eating. Sugar and fat are required to live, tobacco is not. Additionally: NEWSFLASH, we did try to stop alcohol sales, it was called prohibition, you uneducated dolt. Finally, driving a car does not put the guarantees of bad heath that smoking does by any means. Stop using so many flawed metaphors.

freakin hell, you might not be able to physically make someone stop smoking, yeah of course, it is a drug, a LEGAL DRUG that in my eyes should be ILLEGAL, despite the fact that it is an addiction, that doesnt mean you cant 'convince' someone you love to stop smoking at all. You can, ive seen it done many times before. and it is horrible to see you someone you love throwing their life away, it really is, but to say it is virtually impossible to stop someone from smoknig purely because of its physical properties and effects, thats a lie, you can convince someone to stop, and you know it.

Stop trying to defend your habit and tell people that second hand smoke is over rated. You are such a dumb fuck I can't even believe it. My niece has chronic bronchitis and emphysema from living around a smoker and my fiance, who was raised in a house with smoking parents, lungs can't function fully like an average person. Second hand smoke causes terrible harm to a person's body and can ruin peoples lives who have no control over it. Wake up to the facts and realize that you have no defense for smoking. You are causing harm to OTHER peoples bodies and you should be ashamed.
