When you're angry at yourself about something, do you sometimes invite the anger of others? Almost as if you feel you deserve it?

If millions of people are angry about the same thing, is there a valid reason 4 their anger, or is there something wrong w/ them?

Why don't you tell him that you need some time to think about whatever you are discussing. And you will get back to him later. If he follows you just keep repeating the same thing over and over. He'll get the message.
However I still stay it isn't fair to just walk away w/o talking about the situation when you are calm every time someone says something you don't like. I am sure you want your thoughts or feelings heard, so does the other person.

no i dont walk away all the time
just when i feel like i may start to get a bot heated and i might be a little harsh or hasty!
