I just excuse myself and go calm down. Then I go back and deal with the situation. It is very important to deal with things once you are calm and not use anger as an excuse to avoid things.

    • Why don't you tell him that you need some time to think about whatever you are discussing. And you will get back to him later. If he follows you just keep repeating the same thing over and over. He'll get the message.

However I still stay it isn't fair to just walk away w/o talking about the situation when you are calm every time someone says something you don't like. I am sure you want your thoughts or feelings heard, so does the other person.
