What should you do if you are being arrested or framed by a corrupt police officer?

    I'm not sure what the best procedure would be but, I would recommend though not necessarily in this order:

    1. Contact the police chief.
    2. Contact an attorney/District DA.
    3. Contact your local news paper.
    4. Contact the dept. internal affairs division.
    5. Contact Attorney General of your state.

    Probably your best bet is option 1 and 4. Option 3 will upset people, but if it's factual and accurate and published -- it tends to make the City Council investigate as it looks really really bad.

    • You could also work your way up through the law enforcement agencies of your state. Go to the sheriff, then the state troopers.
