What are your thoughts on homemade/handmade clothing? Have you ever tried making anything? Thanks!

    I have not however my wife and daughters are very good at it, my oldest daughter made her own prom dress. My other daughter has made tops and things like that. They also have made several quillos, which is a pillow with a quilt inside that folds up to create a pillow when not in use.

    • This is my daughter's first prom and I wanted a special dress for her. I sketched three designs for her to choose from then she helped choose the color. I knew I wanted to use silk dupiani with this dress. The underskirt is made from a contrast taffeta with a tulle ruffle. The jewelry was purchased on etsy and my sister plans to do her hair. I even made her corsage and we are practicing for her nail art. You can see more pictures and details on Prom Dresses 2011
