No, I am Christian. I believe that it's not ok to pray to anyone but the Lord. The bible says that we are only supposed to pray to the Lord. Although Mary is the mother of Christ, I believe that she is not Godlike therefore I will not pray to her.

    • Catholics do NOT believe Mary is "Godlike" but that she is truly the Mother of God. If Jesus is Lord, and Mary is His mother, then she is truly the mother of God.

We pray to the Lord through Mary and the Saints. Just like asking a friend to pray for you. When you do this you aren't praying to your friend, you are asking for help. That's what we do.

    • Your friend is right here with you. Marry is in Heaven, how else do you expect Marry to hear millions of people speaking to her ever hour with out applying "Godlike" powers to her?
