I heard that an egg that has been refrigerated and then removed from the refrigerator will only last a couple of hours at room temp. And an egg that has never been refrigerated will last for several weeks. Is this true?

Yes its true... not sure about a couple of hours but they do last longer when they've never been refrigerated. I have hens and i keep their eggs in a wire basket container in the kitchen, they do last for ages or at least til anyone wants to eat them.
