Question

Help answer this question below.

I own a 1984 Volvo 940. Twice in the past few weeks while driving it went full throttle on its own. Both times before the acceleration I was doing about 25 mph. What could be wrong, and how can I fix it?

This could be a fault in the Engine Control Unit, the car's computer. It could also be a problem with the cruise control. I would think about the cruise control first.
